This is a short 3 day preview of what the farm is all about.
Your child will learn how to care for farm animals & tend winter crops. They will get to help handle Lady & June, our two cows, and feed all the chickens, ducks & geese. We will also work in the green house & prepare for spring planting.
We have an abundance of real farm life activities on our bio-diverse local family farm. This is a great opportunity for you child to see how much it takes to run a small scale farm without using inappropriate methods of farming.
Camp runs 10am to 3pm. Snack is provided direct from the farm.
The diversity of ages 5 through 12 is a great experience for student to
learn how it feels to be part of the family on a biodiverse farm.
Please send a sack lunch. Students are to bring rain gear, warm hats & rubber boots. Since Oregon can be wet we would like a spear outfit & shoes to chance into if your child gets muddy.
I hope your child has the opportunity to join us on our organic family farm.
